UC San Diego Showcases Commitment to Small Businesses at Navy Gold Coast Expo

UC San Diego Small Business Development Office proudly participated in the 36th Annual Navy Gold Coast Small Business Procurement Expo, a significant event held from August 19 to 21 at the San Diego Convention Center. This event was a key collaboration between small businesses and the Department of Defense. It was sponsored by the NDIA San Diego Chapter and the Department of the Navy’s Office of Small Business Programs.

 
The theme, "Leveraging Small Business Capabilities to Seize Opportunities for Strengthening National Security," underscored the crucial role of small businesses in national security. UC San Diego, in line with this mission and its commitment to small businesses and national security, showcased a range of services, opportunities, and solutions designed to engage and collaborate with small and diverse businesses.  

Our participation underscored our dedication to supporting the Navy, Marine Corps, and the Department of Defense while emphasizing the importance of integrating small businesses into our research and educational activities. The event offered valuable insights and networking opportunities, reinforcing UC San Diego's role as a vital and reliable partner in advancing defense technologies.
